Selama ini, saya selalu menyediakan beberapa uang receh untuk berjaga-jaga kalau melewati pengemis atau ada pengemis yang menghampiri. Satu lewat, kuberi, kemudian lewat satu pengemis lagi, kuberi. Hingga persediaan receh di kantong habis, barulah aku berhenti dan menggantinya dengan kata “maaf” kepada pengemis yang ke sekian.
